Barofold Snags Series A Financing Of $12 Million

BOULDER, CO -- Biotechnology company Barofold, Inc. said that it closed a series A round of venture capital financing that totalled $12 million.

Barofold has developed technology that it licenses to companies wishing to disaggregate, refold and formulate protein biotherapeutic substances.  The company also has its own therapeutics pipeline, including a proprietary product candidate being developed to treat multuple sclerosis.

Investors in the round were co-leaders HBM Bioventures and Boulder Ventures.  Funding proceeds will be used to fund additional product development.
